Every bridal store has their own system of how gowns are pulled for their customers. Some stores have a few gowns on display, either on mannequins or small racks, with the remainder in a back room where the consultants pull styles for the bride after finding out about her preferences. Other shops, like here at New Beginnings Bridal Studio, have all their gowns stored on the showroom floor. Brides are able to see all the inventory available and choose a few dresses in which to begin their appointment. In either case, those beginning gowns may not have been satisfactory to the expectations of the bride. So, if this happens to you, this is the time to let go and put your trust in the stylist you’re with!
If you have done your research and know you are visiting a quality store, then know they have associates that know what they’re doing. Thus far in your appointment, the consultant has been taking mental note of what you like and what you don’t…the silhouette, neckline, amount of embellishments, types of lace, your price points, etc. They’re experts on the designers and styles of the gowns in the store. Each stylist knows how these gowns fit, what the color and size limitations are, and has a multitude of ideas of how to tweak or customize them to make that one special gown feel like magic!
Your consultant is on your side! They’re as excited as you are (well, pretty close anyway!) to experience the moment you realize you’ve found your perfect wedding dress! Your stylist loves what they do, and there’s not much they won’t do to help you find your gown. So, go ahead and trust them…they won’t let you down!
